2024 – A Year in Strata
As we approach the end of another successful year of huge growth, some great installs and some happy customers, we’re taking a look back at some of the work we’ve done this year. We’d also like to take a moment to reflect on our journey and express our heartfelt gratitude to all our customers and suppliers for being right there with us along the way!
Celebrating Our Success
2024 has been another remarkable year in the world of Strata. We’ve expanded our reach, improved our services, and continued to deliver high quality works led by our fantastic External Wall Insulation division.
Across the year we’ve successfully insulated over 250 properties across the UK, transforming their appearances while also keeping residents warmer and helping lower energy bills. Our commitment to quality has shone through in all our work this year and we’re excited to continue to push the boundaries of quality within the EWI industry.

Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund – Wave 2 Works
One of the highlights of this year has been our involvement in the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) Wave 2 works. Throughout the year we’ve successfully carried out External Wall Insulation (EWI) projects in Cambridgeshire and beyond, significantly improving the energy efficiency of social housing in the area and raising properties to EPC C.
These projects not only contribute to reducing carbon emissions but also provide residents with warmer, more comfortable homes as a result of the works. We’re grateful for the opportunity to make a positive impact on the community and look forward to continuing this important with partners at housing providers across the country in 2025.
Projects of all Sizes
Our dedication to quality work extends to all our customers, big or small. We have continued to serve private customers across the UK, transforming homes with our top-notch insulation solutions.
One notable project this year was a long-term endeavour involving a self-build extension by homeowners. The property, originally built between 1930 and 1949, was enhanced with the Johnstones Stormshield EWI System and Render Only System. The project included:
- EWI: 100mm EPS, Johnstones Stormshield High Performance Basecoat, Standard Plus Mesh, Silicone Enhanced Primer, and 1.5mm Silicone Enhanced Topcoat, finished with the colour “Connie”.
- Render Only: Applied to new blockwork using the same system, finished in wood grey.
- Coverage: 150 m² for EWI and 77 m² for Render Only.
The homeowners were delighted with the results, praising our team’s attention to detail, excellent communication, and the significant improvement in both warmth and sound insulation. Their five-star review on Trustpilot is a testament to our commitment to delivering exceptional service. We’re proud of the great work the whole team put in to make this come together!
Looking Ahead
